I already arrived at that conclusion, and since we are talking about whether or not the Minolta scanning and driver files can be installed from the original disc or an. I understand that it isn't likely that Windows will find the driver for this scanner over the internet. If Windows doesn't find a driver for the Minolta scanner over the internet, then where are you going to to select the properties of the scanner? I'm trying to make this work, so I'd appreciate your input. It's been years since you posted this, but I'm hoping you're still around. Go to the properties of the scanner and select to change/update the driver and then browse to the downloaded inf-file. I got a cheap 19160 card from eBay (£12 UK, about $18), downloaded the Win7 64-bit drivers from the Adaptec support site, and everything installed OK.Īlthough Adaptec have a 32-bit Win7 driver for download, in the specs for the 2906 card it does not list Win7 as a supported OS so maybe your SCSI driver is not correct? Once the computer recognises the SCSI card all should be OK.īTW, I never managed to make the original Minolta software work under Win 7 64-bit, but VueScan is so much better that it's not a problem anyway. I looked for a basic SCSI card that had Win7 64-bit drivers on the Adaptec site and found the Ultra 160 series was suitable. I originally had the same SCSI card but the Adaptec 2906 does not have drivers for a 64-bit OS. In the Hardware Setup indicates you have a driver problem with the SCSI card. The first thing you need to do is to get the SCSI card recognised by the computer.
I have the Dimage Scan Speed (SCSI) scanner running fine with VueScan under Win7 Home Premium 64-bit. Yellow asteric in device drivers at SCSI controller. People here say that their Scan f-2900 works with VueScan. I cannot get the machine to recognize the scsi card. I also have an Adaptec ava-2906 scsi card. I have a Minolta Dimage Scan Elite F-2900.
This is a longshot but I have to try anyway.
